Lesson of the day

"When someone shows you who they really are, believe them the first time."

How very true. Thank you Sara for sharing, love it!

Lilly Picasso?

So the other night James was over and Lilly was just not feeling going to sleep.  So, I told her she could color on this for a while with her light on.  She lasted all of 10 min before she was asleep.  However, when I went in to turn off the light this is what I found.  Hmmm......I looked at it for a while, sent a pic to my mom (who is a master artist), and decided to ask her about it in them morning when she woke up.  She told me they were her two hands, and they were happy with big teeth, and they were going to a party so they had lots of jewelry on (naturally), and confetti was coming down from Heaven.  Ugh....what??  I was looking at her in complete aww.  How could my tiny little three year old do this?  I thought it was sort of genius.  This child LOVES anything that allows her to be creative, which I love, since she has so much creativity in her from my family.  Her new school is offering a gymnastics class and an art class, she picked the art class :)  Love my talented little lady!

Tutu cute!

Lilly had her very first ballet class ever yesterday and she had sooooo much fun!  We got all pretty and made special ballet bows to match her tap shoe ties.
On her way in.
Getting ready for Ballet!
Haha!!  Look at that sweet little plie!
Tap time!
My most favorite pic....look at that sweet, adorable ballerina belly!!  All the little girls looked so precious with their little bellies stinking out of their leotards.  Love it!!

7 Wants

Well a girl wants a lot of things!!!  Of course I want the normal things that every girl wants but I do want a lot of things that are bigger than that.  In no particular order......

1.  I'll start with something material, why not.  There's this Burberry bag.  It wants me to love it, carry it, cherish it, and I want it for fall.  It's pricey, I want it of course!

2.  I want Lilly to be happy in her new school.  I had to pull her out of her preschool due to many reasons, but mostly it was because I just took a new job and I need something closer and with more hours.  I decided on a Montessori school, and I hope Lilly loves it.  I want her to be happy above anything else.

3.  I want a maid.  Enough said.

4.  I want it to be easier to let go of Lilly for me, but it seems to be hard every single time.  I'm protective and definitely a nervous nellie when it comes to her, which is good I suppose.  However, I want to be able to say goodbye to her for a weekend and not feel that punch in my stomach.  The unknown scares me and the fact that I know things are going on that are not appropriate for my little love.

5.  I want James to finish residency.  I know we have a long way to go.....internal medicine month, ER month, geriatrics month.....etc.  I miss him, but absence does make the heart grow fonder.

6.  I want to redo my entire house.  I hate my old stuff and love my new stuff, but right now is not the time for me to do a major overhaul.  I see these pics of houses I love and I want to do it soooooo badly......someday.

7.

31 years

Since my parents tied the knot (well yesterday)!  Congrats to the best parents around and cheers to many more years to come!

When it rains it pours...

The week started off so good.
A little pool time with Pixi and Ms. Patsy, and some of our friends.

But I guess when you need rain in OK....you get it.
Along with 100 mph winds, which equals a category 2 hurricane.
So then your nice little relaxing pool days turn to this.....
Front yard tree we planted the summer we moved in.
This big one came down, which gave us the best shade by the pool on those hot summer days.
Down the street....
Unbelievable.
All my years in OK I have never heard anything like that.  Of course, mom and dad pretty much slept through it and thankfully Lilly.  I woke my mom up because we had no power (for 6 hours) and she was more than upset over what had happened.  Our neighbors trampoline was found 10 houses down.....bad. So be careful what you wish for is the moral of this post I suppose.
On a lighter note, here's some random cute pics....
Baby bunny love.
Someone got her first pair of official Gap skinny jeans!  She looks so long and lean in them.....I love that baby chub, I don't want it to go away.  Little sassy thing!  Had to have the skinny jeans like mommy she said. :)
So I'm also kind of obsessed with Instagram these days.  I can't take a pic on my phone it seems without playing with all the cool pic types.  So if you see a lot of fancy photos in the near future, I promise I will get bored with it eventually.
Nothing sweeter in my opinion than my sleeping angel.
With my lova.  I had to take my Yankee boy to Fort Worth to Angelos (a-mazing) and to see some live music at The White Elephant.  Have I mentioned how sweet he is?  Or have I mentioned how brilliant he is and how is brain blows my mind?  Mister cutie :)

Gary Allan..........

So, this is a very long, interesting story, that I can not share completely.  However, I will share just the basics of how this little adventure came about.  If you refer back to a post I made about seeing him in concert in April (I could find it, but I don't wanna), you will find that Gary and I have met before.  Well, long story short, after talking for several weeks, we sort of became friends.  Tickets were sent, everyone was very nice, and it turned out to be an amazing night.
That's all the details you get. Now I'll just do a pic overload.
Right up front, so cool.
Then we all went to Sooner Legends where a pic on this statue was completely necessary.

Can't wait to see him again in TX!!

He practiced this on the bus before the show......he did awesome!  I'll leave you with my most favorite song he sings.....

KOL

Well Kings of Leon was fun.....fun for all of four songs until they cancelled for some reason or another.  We were all kind of ticked off, but we still had fun regardless!  Apparently they went ahead and cancelled their entire US tour, so who knows what's going on with them.
Nick and Brenden, and some random girls....
These are our hot faces, and in hot I mean sweaty and disgusting....
Base.
Sister pic, with cute little Ellie poking through.
Emma's friend Colin.
Brenden looks thrilled he paid good money for the tix just to have it cancelled.  Nick's eyes are his usual red, haha.  Oh and where do I think I'm looking?  All and all it was a lot of fun.  We missed my man, he was on call, again :(
After all that schweatin, a late night swim was definitely in order!

So maybe we will go see KOL next year again, and it won't be a total bust.  However, whatever the deal is with the band they need to figure it out because I just love them!

Day 8

So, I'm a little behind......

Frankly, I have a lot of stuff to blog about right now, but I will try to finish this thing since I already started.    My last attempts at this have been epic fails, so maybe I can try this and actually complete it.

So my eight fears.....hmmm....tricky.

1.  Airplanes
Scare me half to death.
Don't like them one bit.
Need cocktails....
The smaller the plane the worse it is.
This could stop me from traveling long distances because my fear keeps getting worse with every flight.
Australia might never happen...boo.

2.  Accidents
So, we don't need a picture here.  I constantly worry about blowing out a tire, or sliding, or pretty much anything.  I also hate when other people drive Lilly, makes me a little crazy.

3.  Wrinkles
I don't want to get them, I don't want anything to do with them.  It a product says anti-wrinkle I will more than likely buy it.  I'm also a sucker for any kind of facial and mega sunscreen.  Ladies, lets face it, going to the tanning bed is soooooo high school, and baking in the sun will just make you look really bad by the time you're 50.  Lather up on the SPF!!!  Go the fake bake route instead.  You will thank me in the long run.

4.  Bad foods
I love them.  I would love to eat a can of spaghetti o's every day, or sonic for lunch like I did in high school.  But no.  When I do I feel sooooo, overwhelmingly guilty, and it's just not worth it.  Don't get me wrong, I certainly indulge, but it scares me because I would eat crappy food every day if I could.  So I just stay away....does that qualify as a fear?

5.  Mice
That's why I will always have a cat.  Enough said.

6.  Daycare
As a past SAHM, the thought of putting Lilly in daycare from 7 am to 6 pm just kills me.  It may be a reality for me, I don't know, but if that's the case, she will have a nanny some days and be home.  I don't think being a kid should be a full time job.  No offense to the kids that are in daycare, but I have a little bit of an overwhelming attachment to my little love so this causes me much anxiety.  Might be a reality soon, we'll see, she'll survive, and I'll get over it.  I'll cross that bridge when I get there......

7.  Losing family
The only people that i've lost are my grandparents and that was terrible.  It is such a huge fear of mine that it literally makes me naush thinking about losing my loved ones.

8.  Trust
Lets face it.  I have been through some BS CRAP.  The kind of crap that would make your jaw drop to the floor in utter disgust.  Mean, horrible, disgusting, exhausting, and painful things and not just from one person, from an entire family.  I know now that people are not always what they seem to be and time does not make you know someone fully.  You can be with someone for 10 years, or 10 weeks, and still not know who they really are and the demons that fill their brains.  Because of this, my biggest fear is trusting people.  I get the comment "not ALL guys are freaks" or "not everyone is capable of doing things like that" or "you couldn't make that stuff up, so why do you think it would happen again?"  Still. It's hard.

Lets see if I make it to day 7.  What is day 7???

Nine loves.

Obviously, I have a lot of loves....but these are nine of them for you.

9.  Lillian Grace
Her smile, her cuteness, her spirit, the things she says.....I love every single thing about this little love.  I could go on and on about her as you probably know.
8.  The relationship between Pixi and Lilly
Lilly has the greatest grandmother known to man.  She always thinks of fun things to do and always makes the best memories for Lilly to cherish.  Lilly is obsessed with Pixi and Pixi would do anything for her little one.
7.  Lilly and Ryder
They've grown up together.  They're lovers.  They're best friends.  They're perfect.
6.  The beach
Any beach, doesn't matter to me.
5.  Running
Nothing relieves stress like a good run.  I always hate going and that first mile or two suck, but I'm so happy in the end.
4.  My pets
They're the greatest and so good with Lilly.  Dottie sleeps with her and Tony wakes her up every morning.  They are seriously the best animals and I don't know how we got so lucky.
3.  Karaoke
Or really anything singing and dancing.  You're all welcome.....haha.
2.  Sleeping babies
Ugh, is anything sweeter or more precious?
1.  Concerts
I seem to be going to a lot of concerts these days and I always have so much fun.  I love anything outdoors and with friends so concerts are perfect.  This was at Kings of Leon on Friday (pics to come) and Saturday I will get to see Gary Allan.....:)  more to come on that later....

Most importantly I love my family and friends.  I couldn't get them all for one pic obviously but I love them all and am very blessed in that department.

Ten days of ME!

I thought this might be kind of fun!  So I suppose you're supposed to start with day 10 and work your way down?  Here goes....

Day 10: Ten Secrets about Ms. Molly B. (in no particular order....hmmmm)

10.  I have many secret fears, but one of my biggest is trusting people.  It seems I automatically have trouble trusting people, and trust must be proven to me before I can let my guard down.  I don't know if this is something that i've had my whole life, or something that came with my divorce, but it's there.
9.  I have a secret obsession with pinterest and need to seriously stop pinning, it's crazy
8.  I haven't told anyone this, well maybe my mom or best friends, but it's a pretty big secret about me.  When I became engaged to my ex husband, we set a wedding date and everything was great.  However, about three months before the wedding someone from my past came back and begged me not to marry him.  We never dated, but apparently he always wanted to be with me.  It was shocking, and I was very torn up about it, but I let him go.  Nothing ever happened, I never even seriously considered leaving my fiance, but it was crazy.  Now he is married with a child, and an amazing man.  I've always wondered what would have happened.....
7.  I secretly believe that my family is the greatest and no one can compare.
6.  I have a secret fear of not being enough.  Enough of a friend, mother, girlfriend, daughter.  I can't really explain it but I just want to please everyone.
5.  My parents and friends were wanting me to leave my ex husband six months before I actually did.  I had a lot of pressure but it was something I needed to do on my own.
4.  I secretly wish I could cook giant meals every night.
3.  I have a celebrity that is crushing/calling me.....it's pretty weird.  He's really famous, I don't get it at all.
2.  I secretly don't know if I want to remarry.  He would have to be pretty much perfect for that and I most certainly would never marry a rebound man.  Dating is a lot of fun!
1.  I want Mexican food at any time of the day and could eat it at every single meal.

SO!  If that wasn't the most random list ever I don't know what is.  We'll see if I can actually keep this up for 10 days.....
