Old pics

So the other day I was playing on my sister's phone, looking at old pics and videos and such.  I found a few that I think are cute/funny that I wanted to share.
KOL concert, so fun!
Baby love with Sue Sue.  Look at that cute little diaper wearing girl!  Love those turkey legs and her puh-dee (passy).  Miss those days....
Dottie love :)
Quite possibly my favorite pic of the bunch.  Look at that little chunky monkey reading in her bed!   Ahhh!  So cute I can't stand it!!
Both of us ready to go home after my cousin's wedding.
PIGGIES!
Sleeping in my dad's truck on the way to Houston.  Curlers in hair, makeup on, ready for fun!
On the way back from Houston....no makeup, no curlers, just sleepy and ready to be home!
Sister fun.
You can never fit too much in a stroller.....
Snoozing with Bubba man.  Love that little one.

So I had to share!  I just love finding pics that you don't know exist until you go through your sister's photos.  Emma needs to share the pics as they come because she has sooooo many!

Presents for people we love.

So Emma just moved out on Saturday (breathe).  I felt a little overwhelmed because she has been with me and Lilly for 18 months and I don't know how I would have gotten through the rough times alone.  She is actually moving to the same apartment complex I used to live in, along with several of my cousins.  It was a little strange walking into the apartment, because it looks exactly like my old one, but I was so happy for her all at the same time.  I wanted to do something special, and I saw this cute idea!   She was a crying mess when she saw it and LG certainly was proud too.
I put them in a frame all side by side, so cute!!  Since it was also Father's Day, we also made one for our favorite Bampa!
She's the sweetest thing ever!  I had a great day spending time with lots of family.  On my dad's special weekend he moved my sister in, bought and assembled a grill for me, fixed my sprinkler system, fixed my TV stand so all my cords aren't showing, and cooked up amazing steaks on my grill!!  My mom also managed to squeeze in enough time to make my draperies for my kitchen and Lilly's room, finally!  I pretty much have the best parents ever!  I also got to spend some time with some of my besties who just happen to be my cousins, so it really was a wonderful weekend.

Cute idea!

Thank you Laura, over at The Steen Style, for giving me the inspiration (and directions) on how to do this little cute letter.  It was messy, and Lilly was all up in the mess, but I think it turned out super cute.  I chose leopard ribbon because I have a leopard door mat, so it matches perfectly.  My "A" was kind if tricky at times to cover with the moss, and I burned myself way too much with my hot glue gun, but soooo cute!
Now, the my letter was kind of difficult to hang up.  I thought it would look cute sideways or with two pieces of ribbon (like Laura did) but the "A" just wouldn't allow anything but this.  It looks a lot better in person and I'd love to do some more letters for the inside of my house.  I thought about doing HOPE and hanging them on top of each other connected by ribbon.  Cute!  **Oh and please excuse my ghetto fabulous arbor.  Maybe next time before I start snapping pics for the blog I should spruce it up.  But, to my defense, it has been really windy!
I bought two packages of the moss, which can be found at Hobby Lobby by the twig wreaths and homecoming mums.  You only need one for a letter this size, which is about 12 inches tall.  I wish it was bigger.

But thank you Laura!  Everyone should check out her blog because she has GREAT home decor tips and fun do-it-yourself ideas!

Ballerina girl....

You are so lovely!
I was going to post the Lionel Richie video to "Ballerina Girl" since it was my favorite song growing up, but i'll spare you this one time.  However, my little ballerina girl is officially enrolled in her first ballet and tap classes!  I don't really know who is more excited about this, her or me.
Even Tony Man is pretty excited....
So we got some new leotards and tights and we will go buy our new shoes in August.  Miss LG has been sleeping in her get ups and has been dancing all over the place.
I don't know about you but tiny legs and piggies sure look adorable in pink tights.  And her little belly sticking out of that leotard just about melts my heart.  This ballerina girl happens to think that pulling Tone's tail is also a classic move.
Many, many more pics to come :)

Memorial day!

Well this year Memorial Day was fun as always!  Lilly and I headed up to my parents where we enjoyed the pool, yummy food, and lots of friends.  I headed up to my friends lake house for a fun night too!  Always soooo much fun at Camp Vicki and I got to see Sarah and Vicki's new AMAZING boutique in Grove.  Every one of you should find Ludi and Lovie on facebook and check out their amazing home items.  Here are some pics from our night out at Island Joes!
Enjoying some SUN with some of my besties is heaven on earth!

My hair looks really, really weird here.....
Austin and Sarah getting down.
Such a fun night!  We happened to run into like 10 baseball players that played with Austin at OU, which was really fun.  It was nice to finally meet them!
The rest of the weekend I spent with my girl and my family!
My girls on our way up to OK!

Car ride with Grandpa!
Always posing.....
Lilly always sleeps in my dad's undershirts when we are there, so cute.  She looks like a little angel sorta walking around in them!

On another note....I came across this picture on another blog and I wanted to share it with you.
I'm sure everyone is just as devastated by the damage in Joplin as I am.  This picture was just so inspiring to me and makes you realize that is not the material things that are most important in life.  I've already donated a small amount to help and i've decided that I will donate 10% of all Dots and Birdie orders to the relief this month.  So get to ordering people it feels great to help!
