Found this on a fellow bloggers page, looked like something fun to do and I think everyone else should too!
I always....
-Dress Lilly up, no matter where we're going.
-Wear mascara, well except to the gym. I also always put my makeup on in the same order.
-See the glass half empty, wish I didn't.
-Have baby fever and get so many emotions when a friend or family member is expecting. I wouldn't call it jealousy, but I just can't wait for more babies some day. Not today....
-Accomplish what I set my mind on. I am very determined and strong willed.
-Want expensive things, it's bad, I know.
-Wish my grandparents would have met my Lilly.
I sometimes....
-Prefer staying in and watching a movie than going out. However, I love getting dressed up and wish I could do it more often.
-Get a very freaky fear of accidents.
-Think if I was single I would be living in Paris. But Frisco is perfect for me!
-Wish I could freeze time.
-Have dancy dance parties with Lilly while Gabba is on.
-Wonder if the decisions i'm making will be the right ones down the road.
-Wish I lived in OK.
I never.....
-Have an easy time waking up in the am....doesn't matter if it's 6 or 10, i'm a zombie and usually very grumpy. Sorry honey...
-Think it's good enough. I can always do better, look better, clean more, etc.
-Wanted a brother growing up because my cousins are like brothers to me.
-Can think of enough things to cook for dinner. This really stresses me out!
-Can get enough Taco Bell hot/mild sauce. I put it on everything. Cottage cheese and taco bell sauce would blow your mind, i'm serious!
-Get a tan, ever.
-Was as grateful as I am right now, and tomorrow I will be more.
Oh happy day!
This week past week has been filled with babies, babies and more babies!! Who wouldn't love weeks like this to happen all the time? We finally got the chance to meet Clint's cousin's new baby girl Krisalyn Elizabeth Key on Saturday and she was just as precious as I imagined. She was born August 11th so she is a real newbie. I forgot what it was like to hold such a tiny thing and I think Clint might be itchin for another little girl to hold! She was just precious and Clint had to talk me out of wanting a baby right now, but someday!
We also got to hang out with Krisalyn's big brother Elliot, too sweet! He loved hanging out with Lilly and followed her around everywhere. He is 14 months so they definitely have their hands full but also having a ton of fun!
**Insert picture here of Elle.....when someone decides to send us some!!! Hint hint.....**
ALSO, our new baby niece Elle Marie Lockhart was born on Friday! We have been waiting for a long time and I can not wait to get my hands on that sweet little thing. She has to big sisters who melt my heart with love, Kate and Jane and I know they will love Miss Elle so much! Hopefully I will get a pic soon! Elle is already loved so much by us and we hope to get to meet her soon!
Anddddddd, a old friend from highschool who I was on pom with and friends with throughout middle and high school, brought her sweet baby girl Carter Grace home from the hospital this weekend! Carter was born at 25 weeks and spent 89 days in the NICU and is finally home with her mommy and daddy! I couldn't be happier for Maggie and her husband and I wish them the best of luck and tons of fun with their new little angel!
I need this..
OK....i've been playing around and of course I stumbled on to Anthropologie like always....
I really need these items below. I mean, who else is sooooooo incredibly ready for this fiery summer to be done and gone? I am so much more a fall girl anyways. I can't get a tan, which stresses me out, and my fair skin looks better in fall types of colors. Not so much tank tops. So here are my pics....love them all, especially the navy and purple jackets. I might just need those for real....
I can't wait for jeans and cozy sweaters and scarfs and boots. It's my fav! Today in Dallas it is 98 degrees.....ugh, nasty. I also CAN NOT wait for OSU football to start! I love watching the games with friends and eating dips galore and drinking ice cold beer. I'm working on some new recipes for game days so I will be sure to share them soon!
Framers
My cousin Jason just sent these to me with enhanced coloring....they will be framers. I'm thinking about doing two big 11x14 pics on my stairwell and swap out the pics every now and then. Then when we have another baby we can do one of thing 1 and one of thing 2. The top one is my favorite.....Lilly always has her little bottom lip curled in and I love those big grey eyes. Perfect pic of how my Lilly looks all the time, precious!
For once she isn't smiling like a total ham. It's so hard to catch a normal smile, not that cheese ball one she does all the time.
If I do say so myself...
I think my Lilly is such a little beauty.....

On another note, did anyone happen to watch the Octomom special last night? If you did i'm sure you will agree and if you didn't consider yourself lucky. That woman is a complete trainwreck and it was quite disturbing watching her attempt to take care of all those children. They are not well-behaved and I feel like they are neglected. That's too many babies for one woman to have, and she doesn't even have a job! She's shopping for a reality show apparently too. I almost turned it off because hearing all those kids crying throughout the entire show is very stressful. She's absolutely insane....
Also, I ran 6 miles today!! I have just come to the conclusion that I can't do that every day because my knees are in pretty bad shape. Maybe once or twice a week is all I can do and i'm proud of that!
E-OOOOOO'S!!!!
Lilly loves the song Old McDonald and she sings it all the time with me. She has started calling McDonalds E-I-O's or something along those lines. It is too cute! My sister did this when she was little and it's crazy that Lilly does too....I guess she is Emma's little mini-me. This video isn't great, little Miss was starving and ready to eat and pass out for her nap, hence the fussiness and whining. I'll try to get a better one soon!
New stuff!
New fabrics!!! YEAH!!!!
Here's a glimpse of the fabric for one of Lilly's Halloween skirts. LOVE this! The print with the witches actually comes from vintage postcards. Adorable. I need three more prints so I was thinking a black and white big polka dot would be cute and maybe a stripe. Too sweet!
To all my long haired ladies!
So now that I am trying to grow my hair out super long for winter, I was really starting to wonder how on earth I would be able to manage it in this TX heat and humidity....until THIS!! I know it's been around for forever, but I am new to this product and let me tell you it has worked wonders for my hair! Ever since having Lilly my hair has been ehh, not so great, but this makes it look so shiny and soft and it actually stays straight when I use my flat iron. I can't sing my praises enough about Spoil Me, and it smells like heaven too! I use it when my hair is wet, dry, straightening, curling, scrunching, re-styling, literally all the time!
If you don't have this and you have hair that does not like heat and humidity, go get this, run!! It's the best!
A must and a yummy...
Lets just start this post with some Lilly pics.....have to have them....
Oh Rebecca Minkoff, how I love your beautiful bags. I came across this "Knocked up baby bag" and knew that when I am pregnant again I really will need this. Yes, I know it is not the most practical of bags for mommies but look how pretty it is. In reality, a backpack diaper bag is the way to go so you have both arms totally free to carry baby, blankie, stroller, etc. However, just because we have these new babies that take up a lot of our "me" time for great hair and makeup, doesn't mean that our bags can't be totally fab! This bag also comes in a slew of colors, I saw it at Nordies in silver, cute but a little more pricey, and I saw it in Cookie mag in green, adorable! I for one love the patent look, but I would also love red or tan. Now I just need the next baby to come right.....HA!! Not yet folks!
On another note, as many of you know I am pretty much a salad slut (had to). I would pick a great salad any day of the week instead of a cheeseburger or pizza. Since I usually eat salad every day for lunch I always look for new ways to jazz it up and this recipe is sooooo yum!! I usually make a big batch of it and eat it all week with lunch and sometimes dinner if Clint is gone. Here it is....Crockpot on low, about 3-4 hours
Put 3 or 4 chicken breasts in the pot
Pour half a bottle BBQ
Let sit.....
Shred it up and put back in to toss with the sauce
That is IT!! I'm telling you on a salad with a ton of veggies and a little red wine vinegar and cottage cheese it's amazing!! Clint will even eat it on a bun so that's good. I came up with it after I had a similar salad at Paradise Bakery, so yum (I think mine's better!)
My little Miss...
Oh my little Lilly Grace......You are so precious. Yes, you are hitting your terrible twos and we do have a lot of meltdowns, tears, etc....however, when you are happy, you are so happy and it fills my heart with love. These past couple of days we have switched up the discipline we were using and you seems to be doing a lot better. I love this little one so much. She is filled with light and has a smile that lights up even the darkest room. I love her little personality, so strong willed but such a little lovey dovey at the same time. I could go on and on....here are some pics of Lilly girl at Willowbend mall today. We are usually there twice a week or so because she loooooooves it. I made this little outfit for her and it looked so stinkin cute!!! We went in through Neimans and all the women were all oohing over how sweet she looked, yes I know, she is a doll!
So......
So.....we have gone back to the crib for now. I tried, and I must say that Lilly playing in her room until 11 pm is really cramping my style. She likes her crib and thats where she wants to be so for now that's where she will be. Maybe next week will be different but tonight she's there. She's a little too tall in there, especially with all her books, toys, etc, but hey she likes it and she falls asleep at 9 instead of 11. We'll see what happens though. She has all of a sudden decided that she will only nap some days, on her terms. Yesterday she was up there for 2.5 hours, not crying, but not sleeping. Is this normal for a two year old? I really liked the naps......
Anyways, today Lilly got some new markers and we drew a kitty face on her. She LOVED this! Later we drew a watch and necklace too. Total fun two year old entertainment! I couldn't really get a pic of our new kitty but here is one that kind of gives you the idea.
Mission accomplished
Lilly has successfully slept in her big girl bed! This was our first attempt and we are really proud of our little monkey. Yes, she stayed up until 11, and yes she woke up about an hour earlier than normal around 8:30, but overall she didn't wake up once during the night scared or crying like I had expected. You can kinda see her new bedding here, it's so cute! I still don't have a guard rail or her pink and white padded princess headboard up. I also took off the bed frame to make it lower to the ground so it just looks weird. We decided on a full because I figured she would want it eventually for sleepovers. I can't wait to do some new decorating once her crib is officially moved out.
Molly's movie reviews
My sister decided to come in for a long weekend on Saturday and we spent most of our time watching movies. It was fabulous!! We also managed to do a lot of shopping as always and lunches and just some fun girl time. Lilly was pretty good the entire weekend and we did get her big girl bed up in her room, which she still isn't sleeping in, but we did it finally. Pics to come though! As everyone knows I am such a fan of going to the movies, but I also love chilling on the couch watching them too. So this weekend we did both!
We first rented Confessions of a Shopaholic.....totally cute, girly movie. Very lighthearted and fun, which is exactly what I needed. Not really for the men in our lives but we enjoyed it and a bottle of vino none the less!
Then we rented The Uninvited.....creepy. There were some parts that were a little boring and I absolutely hate scary movies so this was just enough for me to take. My mom had watched it and if she could handle it so could I! It was pretty good, not the best, but the twist at the end definitely was crazy.
Last night, Emma and I grabbed a quick sandwich at Potbelly and headed over to see a movie. We didn't check the times and we were kind of feeling crazy so we went to Bruno. Hmmm.....there is a reason that there is no pic of this movie here. It was sick, weird, disturbing. I thought the funny parts were few and far between and the rest was just sick. So that got out and my sister ran to the ladies room and I was standing there outside The Ugly Truth waiting. I got to thinking, what is stopping us from just popping into see this next, which just happens to start in 5 min? So we DID! Rebels I know, it's probably the most daring thing i've done in a long while, but so fun. This movie was adorable (and so is Gerard Butler.....) I definitely want to see it again and I think our guys would enjoy it too! Maybe a date night for me and Clint soon!
