One week

One week from today.....get ready sista.....MEH-HEE-KO!!!!  

Bikinis, hats, dresses, sandals, sunscreen...all ready to go!  Now I need some good books to pack.  I am like a total twilight whore right now so i'm taking those, but I need something a little less vampirish!  I think I may take "Eat, Pray, Love" because i've heard it's fab, so we'll see.  CAN'T WAIT!!!!  Get ready Playa, we're coming!

So since I got a new number recently, I have been getting all sorts of weird calls and texts.  Apparently some girl named Daphne had my number before, so maybe this text relates to her and her hobbies....I guess.  I just died laughing, so I had to share....

"hey you..guess what...monday i should have good internet....so u know what that means....i will be able to play world of warcraft again.  if you still want we can play"

As TEMPTING as this sounds for my Monday night, i'm gonna have to pass buddy.  I had to google this to find out what exactly this guy was referring to....

Even more tempting now.  Anyone who knows me, knows that a night filled with world of warfare action is exactly my idea of fun.

Whirlwind past few days!

This weekend I painted all my kitchen cabinets, and the walls.  Now I remember why I paid someone to do it in the old house!   NIGHTMARE!  Thankfully, I had my oh so creative and talented momma there to help me.  She did most of the cabinet work and I did most of the painting.  We did the cabs a creamy color, still very white though, and the walls are kind of a mix between pistachio icecream and apple green.  It's called Dill, but doesn't look too dill to me.  My granite is very dark, which I hate, but it looks great with the light kitchen.  I am getting a new stainless dishwasher to match my fridge, then in the fall i'm going to get a matching stainless stove, oven, and microwave.  YEAH!!  I also got fabric for drapes, my favorite!  My kitchen is going to have a shabby plaid look, and my living room is a Ralph Lauren linen floral.  My walls will be cream with bead board.....can't wait!!!  Even got fabric to do a padded ottoman!  LOVE IT!  Pics to come I promise!

I was supposed to come back into the Legacy area to meet up with Landon, but since someone decided to get their car towed (Day-Bed), someone had to come to the rescue!  Very fun though!

10 months, so sweet.

Love these pool pics.  So sweet.  Lilly has the BEST Grandpa ever in my dad and no one will every compare.  Xoxox Bampa.

Fun weekend!

Look at these girls!!!  Here's Lilly with Miss Coco Marie, so precious!  Jason and Michelle, Nick and Lauren, and of course Coco came over on Friday for some fun.  These two cousins are so sweet together.  Can't wait to see them again!

I rocked her and put her to sleep.....all swaddled with her little soothie paddy, so precious.  I loved that little time alone with her just holding and loving on her.

On another note.....our old house is long gone.  Closing was friday afternoon and I am a little sad to see it go.  However, there's so much I want to forget from this place.  The new owners are well, strange to say the least but I hope they enjoy!

Oh and....Lilly's first Joe's shirt!  Cute!

Saturday I went out for a while with this pretty lady for some celebrating.  Sarah didn't get to stay out too long, but she never gets to go so it was great.  We went to Sambuca where I discovered the BEST cocktail.....mango peach martini, YUM!!  They have a mango martini at Ra but this is half the calories i'm sure.  

Jen also came!  We went on to meet some other people after Sarah left, of course I forgot my camera.....

I look so sleepy in this one, I soooooo wasn't!!  HA!

How to ruin a brand new swimsuit in 6 hours.

Start off by taking a few fun pics in your brand spankin new suit, that you've only worn once.  

(Please ignore the wind blown hair....)

Let the ruining begin.....

Do some water sports, that you would normally never do, because you don't like to get your hair wet, and you have to hold your nose when you go under water.   Lame, yes, but I guess everyone has to be daring sometimes....

Fail....miserably.....and swallow a bunch of yucky lakewater while you're doing it.  This is probably the time when you should start thinking "hey, i'm in a brand new swimsuit that I bought specifically for vacation, and it's WHITE!"  Moving on....

Canonballs.....hmmm....why the hell not.

Here comes the real damage.....slip and slide.....

Not once, not twice, not even three times....try like 100 all different directions.  Stomach preferably, you're like speed racer.

Yep.  You're new suit is officially ruined.  But then it gets better.  You decide to take a little bleach to it (because you've done it with other white ones) and surprise....you wake up and all the little orange, adorable dots are now a precious lavender color.  How sweet.  So you try to oxi clean it, and some make their way back to their original orange, but most stay purple.  ewww.....

So folks, don't do these activities if you buy a "lounge" suit.  Just sit on the boat and chill out and enjoy the sun.  Don't make it your first wakeboarding experience and certainly don't hit the slip and slide.  You will have a ruined suit, a sore body, and you will be scratched up beyond belief.  Not fun. That is your lesson for today.

Happy 4th!!

Lilly and I headed up to OK for a week of fun with the family!  Part of our awesome week was being in the 4th of July parade, which she has done every year, with her Bampa and Pixi.  My dad collects antique cars and every year Lilly just loves going!  What little girl wouldn't want to be in a parade once a year, it's like a dream!!  

I made her skirt and Pixi made her shoes, well these are one of four pairs her Pixi made her.  She also had a Lady Liberty tiara and jewelry.

Me and my girl, how festive are we!!??  The weather was awful and rainy, but at least it wasn't hot and gross.  Not great for the hair....

Aunt Krissy and Uncle Joe in the back, and Aunt Robin and Uncle John in the front.....Lilly, on her own, named Uncle John as "Big Boy."  HILARIOUS!!

Getting tickled by her friend Emory.  Emory and Lilly only see each other once a year at the parade, but its so cute to see how these girls change every year.

Waiving to all the people, she LOVES this every year!!!  For a little girl, there really isn't anything better!

Happy 4th!  Thank you for all our troops who work endlessly and risk their lives to keep us girls safe.  Can't wait for next year, and neither can Lilly.....she's already talking about it!
