The many faces of Lilly.

My little miss has so many expressions these days.  Thought I would share a few of my favorites.....

A little hesitant.....

"Why mommy??"

Hehe

Scary face.

This is "I don't want to smile but I will kind of" face.

Stylin....

Just a cute one....

Major funny!

So, since about Christmas time, my younger sister has been rooming with me so to speak.  She just graduated from college and is looking for a job down here in Dallas.  Given the circumstances, she doesn't have a room or a bathroom......we have the master, Lilly's room, a guest room that now has no bed because I use it for my sewing, and we have a big guest room as well.  Clint has taken over the big one with all his stuff, so good old Emma is stuck sleeping with me, every night.  Luckily, I have a huge king bed so we really don't notice each other that much.  HA!
Anyways, I have always been a strange sleeper.  I sleep very light some nights, and heavy the next.  I walk in my sleep, even made it to the bus stop once when I was little, and talk A LOT!!  Clint used to tell me the craziest things and now Emma is fortunate enough to witness it!  So Emma, being witty and creative, has started a blog with all her "sleeping sister" encounters.  I must say, it is hilarious!!!  Every morning she has new things to tell me, and I just crack up because I have absolutely no recollection.  I sometimes take tylenol pm, which seems to make matters worse!
If you want a good laugh, check this blog out!!  She swears she is going to update it with all my rants, so hilarious!

FUNNY!

Little Miss Lilly Poo

Since I haven't done it in a while, I will fill everyone in on some of Lilly's favorite things these days....

Lilly Grace is 29 months tomorrow, my GOODNESS, that sounds soooooo old!  She's growing so fast!  She is very tall, in the 99th percentile, and she is starting to slow down on her weight now being in or a little more than 75th percentile.  She still is dripping in that baby chub, which mommy just loves!  Can't get enough chunky belly and piggy kisses!  Her favorite books are Baby Dear, all the Lonely Doll books, I Spy, and Fancy Nancy.  She loves to read and we usually read several times a day.  She loves watching Olivia, Max and Ruby, and Gabba still, but she HATES Lazytown.....she will throw a plain fit if I don't change the channel fast enough.  She also loves "icky mouse."  She loves to cook in her kitchen, color, and especially play baby dolls.  Pretty much everything!  She loves playing with make up and jewelry and loves sitting in mommy's sink while I get ready for the day.  She loves getting her hair dryed and styled, so cute.  The potty training is, well, going I suppose.  I haven't really started going full speed with it, but I will in April i've decided.  She has become quite the dancer and every night after her bath she insists on a dance party.  Usually naked for her, she loves to be naked, funny girl!

Lilly is obsessed with all things sweet, go figure.  It doesn't matter what meal it is or what time of the day it is, but she will always ask for mac n' cheese and a sucker.  She rarely gets suckers, but she tries for one non-stop, sweet baby.  She loves dill pickles, spears only, and can't get into her morning routine without her spoon of peanut butter.  She loves our Friday night pizza/popcorn/icecream cone movie nights and asks to do them daily.
Lilly loves going to school on Thursdays and has a new friend, Renner, who she talks about all the time.  But don't worry, she still knows who her lover man is, her Ry Ry.  She also loves making silly faces and is talking up a storm!  She is also such a sensitive little thing and gets her feelings hurt very easily, much like mommy again, especially these days, HA!  She loves when mommy sings "the way you look tonight", which we sing every night.  Lilly also loves to say her prayers and loves telling me when she is mad, sad, or happy.....maybe we have a little actress in that department!  She loves her family too, which makes me smile.  She loves her Auntie Em and LOVES her Pixi.  She also have a fascination with my dad, Bampa, and when she talks about him she screams his name and does this sneaky eye thing.  It's very cute.

Sometimes I wonder how I will explain everything about what has happened when she asks.  I think about it a lot actually.  I hope that can be a conversation we have when we're chatting someday a long time from now. I hope she knows that I did everything I could, I was strong for her, and yes I was very sad at times, but I tried endlessly to make a new life for her.  I was honorable, true, and stood by my convictions.  I wanted to set example of a strong, Godly woman.  A woman who can pick up the pieces and be independent.  I hope she knows that, but she will always know that she is safe, and always loved her mommy.

So there you have it!  Basically that is my 29 month old, Lilly Grace in a nutshell!

Changes

Oh my, have I been through some changes.  Most of you know bits and pieces of everything that has been going on in my life, and thankfully, I feel like I am getting closer to a point of completely moving forward. No more looking back and stalling.
I was going through old posts, and I almost deleted a few.  However, i'm keeping them.  They were times in my life that I want to forget, but I can look back on those low moments and think, wow, I overcame a lot.
Right now I have some HUGE opportunities coming up!  I am so amazed at God's grace and how he continues to bless me daily.  I was thinking today that sometimes we question why we have to go through struggles in our lives and sometimes we even wonder what God is thinking doing this to us.  But I am done with those days.  I was upstairs sewing away today and I thought, I learned how to sew completely on my own, no lessons, and look what i've accomplished!   I have a small business that continues to grow and I am amazed everyday that people like my stuff!  I felt in that moment that God was showing me I can do things in my life, on my own, without someone else, with no guidance besides His.  This thought makes me smile!  I have a huge job opportunity that will enable me the flexibility that I wanted, plus allow me some time to do just custom orders because sewing has become my passion.  I can't say right now what it is, but I will as soon as I can.
I am taking my blog off private because I have been getting a lot of emails from friends saying they still can't access it.  I changed it to keep people away from me, away from taking things out of context and therefore causing bigger messes than they will ever know.  But now, I could really care less if they read it or not.  Change is coming and I couldn't be happier!

So, now that you've heard my schpeel for the day, let me show you some pics of my REAL happiness.  Little Lilly love.....
Lilly's first official ponytail!!  Proud moment for us ladies!  This will become a staple when you're a mommy someday little girl.

Lilly loves her Aunt Emma, she calls her "My Emma."  It is the sweetest....

Another snow day!!  Feb. 11, 2010!  Lilly was a little hesitant but she loved running in the slush in her boots.  Look at that joy written all over her face!

My baby love

I promise to blog more!  I have an actual stock now for Dots and Birdie, so I may be starting a blog for that too.
