Sums it up!

All you're ever gonna be is mean!

Well....

I'm just going to try to get through this post.

Deep breaths Molly......

Looks like Emma is moving to Chicago.  Breathing.....sort of, may throw up.  I am SO beyond happy, but SO beyond sad.  I'm just going to take this one day at a time I suppose.  I could seriously count on both hands the amount of BFFs that have moved this year. Breathe Molly.  I do love Chicago, and I have a few friends there, so traveling would be fun.

But still.

That's all I can write for right now without a complete meltdown.  Deep breaths.....

Music...Tuesday?

Whoops, forgot to post yesterday.  Looks like the only posts everyone will get are music videos, haha!  Kidding....I have a ton to blog about so I need to get cracking.  Maybe this weekend I will set up shop and blog away, have to keep Pixi happy!

I listened to this song after a very special day.   This may be my theme song indefinitely : ) Happy....

Music Monday

If you have been living under a rock then maybe you haven't heard this, but since that is unlikely on so many levels, here is my song for the day.  I just can not. get. enough. of this song!  Now Kenny is no Tim McGraw by any standards, however, he's cute in a turtle-esque sort of way I suppose.  This video is sexy sexy and I love the lyrics ;)

There is nothing better.....

Than holding a sleeping lovey.....preferably my sleeping lovey.
Even though she is almost five (gasp), holding her is still like heaven to me.
She still has that precious baby face when she is sleeping.  Even though she is reading, dancing, singing up a storm, and just being a little girl....she is my one and only.
And sometimes us mommies just need these moments to bring us back to the time when our sweet loves nestled up on us as babies.
Then they wake up, all sleepy and sweaty.  You may have about 3-5 minutes with them then it is back to the life of a five year old and off they go.  One thing they always do it just be cute
...with their oh-too-cute pups.
I have been a bad blogger lately.  Maybe i'll get back into the swing of things, maybe.  I am thinking of starting a new, fresh blog....we shall see.  In the meantime, go snuggle your sleeping babes.  They get big too fast!

To the grown women out there.....

I need to just get this off my chest.  Feathers.  In my opinion, they don't belong in your hair unless you are under 12.  I've seen this maybe three times, all on kids, however, while Lilly and I were getting out nails done today I sat next to an interesting lady who had two, giant pink feathery things hanging down from her hair onto her shoulder.  I looked her over and maybe this went along with her affliction/bedazzled inspired outfit, camo flip flops, and lime green nail polish she was getting on her toes (one sparkly green no less)......who knows.  Am I missing a high-fashion look?   I think not.

Ladies.....if you are over the age of 12, I beg you to please, please stop this.  It just doesn't look that classy. Now this is my opinion and if you love feathers, by all means go for it, I am just baffled by this look.  Who on earth came up with this??????  Doesn't that feel weird in a ponytail?  Do you hide it for a formal night?  Does it get tangled when you run your hands through your hair?  Pool?  Can you curl it?  Does your man find this classy?

Hmmm....obviously I am a little confused maybe.  I better get to Googling, but I don't think I will be on the hair accessory band wagon anytime soon.

Play time!

Yesterday was SO fun!!!  My cousin is a designer for JC Penny, he's so much cooler than me.  Well anyways, every year three of the guys go ALL out and rent two, giant two story boats, two nice buses, and provide a ton, and I mean a ton of beverages and food.  There were 120 people there, so you can imagine the cost involved.  So I was more than happy to join in once I got the invite, how could you pass that up?
Besides getting my floatie stolen (boo), it was an all-around fun day!
On the bus ride to Lake Lewisville.
Nicole, me, Lil Base getting our groove on.  Navy gingham July 4 bikini.....a must!
I love this lady.
Yep.  That's me on the right, jumping off a two story boat into the lake.  It took me maybe three hours to get the courage to go for it, but I did, and then became obsessed.  We all must have jumped 50 times....then came the slide...
Are you seeing this people???  Lets add this to the list of water activities that is completely out of the Molly norm.  Yay me! Haha!
Snooze.....how we used to do this in college all day, every day in the summer, I don't understand.  We went back to Nicks, ordered pizza, and crashed by 10 pm.  Such a fun day!!  In other news, Nick and Lauren's wedding is coming a long!  Lauren got her dress, gorgeous, the date is officially May 4 in Geary, AND Lilly girl is a flower girl!!  Yay!!  It will be Lilly, who will be 5, Coco who will be 3, and Ilsa who will be 2.  A-dorable!  This wedding will be one for the books!  Lauren showed me pics of stuff they have bought, and I think it could be a perfectly classy Southern Living wedding.  Nick is not going to wear a suit.  Lauren thinks it looks sort of weird in an outdoor wedding to have the guys in black suits, I agree.  Maybe just a grey vest, slacks, sleeves rolled up, no tie.  LOVE!!  She's thinking the little girls will be in grey and cream polka dot dresses with flower halos.  Can't wait!!!
Nick leaves for Bangladesh next week, right after getting back from London and Paris.  He flies in an 11 seater G6.....lucky.
Anyways, Lilly comes home today and we are headed to my parents next week where we plan on doing a packed Lilly-fun schedule.  Can't wait!

Little bit of time

I got to see this little miss last night!  Goodness, I certainly do miss her.  Is it just me, or has she grown over these past two weeks she has been with her dad?  Could she be any more gorgeous?  Nope.  Cutest kid that ever existed in my opinion!
Can't wait for her to come home after Father's Day weekend.  I need Lilly time more than anything right now!  Last night I cooked one of her favorite dinners from scratch, her favorite edamame, and she shared icecream on the swingset with her lover man, who had to stop by.  Ryder is so sweet.  He actually said "I wish your mommy and daddy lived together so you never had to leave me...."  Those comments are tough to explain to a sweet little four year old, that is for sure.  I guess Sarah picked him up from school and told him he was going to stop by and see Lilly Poo and he said he can't wait to see his favorite girl.  A-dorable.  She's my favorite girl too, and I can't wait to see her again very soon!

Ready for Love

A friend of mine left yesterday to be on season one of Ready for Love!!   I am so excited for her.  It is Guiliana and Bill Rancic's new TV show...love them!  Yes, as some know, I was called to be on the Bachelor, but not my style one bit, ever.  However, she will be perfect!!  I think the bios and pics will be up in two weeks or so and filming starts soon....so excited for her and I know she will go far.  Here's the link....

As soon as I can I will blast a big shout out to her!!

Kenny and Tim

Last night, or I guess I should say all-day event, was Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw at Cowboys Stadium.  This is the fourth time I've seen them both, but first time together, and they put on an amazing show as usual.  Last time I saw Kenny I was in an owner's suite.....this time not so much.  It made me a little naush all the way up at the top, and the place was packed!
Can we talk about Tim for two seconds.  He is, and always will be, the ultimate cowboy in my opinion.  No competition stands a chance
Here's a few pics from the day!
Stevie, Sarah, Jenna, Jen, and me and Em.
White pants on a guy?  I think he wears them ok......
What tailgate isn't complete without champagne from red solo cups?
Summer concert series 2012 can't not include a dance off picture.  It is a must apparently, haha, this makes me laugh!

Memorial Day

This past weekend we headed up to Edmond for some family fun.  Goodness, just what I needed.  Work has been more than stressful and I just wanted to spend time with the people I love the most.  Emma and I did some digging around and found these little gems.....
Old pom pics.....too cool for school.

I think Emma was about about 2-3 here, making me 6 or 7.  She looks so much like Lilly love and we are all convinced that if Lilly had dark hair she would be my clone.  My sister and I are doing something with old pics for my mom for her birthday, and it was really shocking to see my pics as a four year old and then Lillys.

1990.....style.

Haha!!  On to the fun weekend pics!! Syd and Blakers came over for a dip....it was chilly to say the least!  I don't swim too much, especially in freezing water.  The kids were a little shocked at first but kids seriously don't care if its ice water, they love to swim.
Love this place.

New Memorial Day/July 4th swim suit!  Sassy pants!

Look at how big my girl is!  This mommy can hardly lift her when she is sleeping.  She is growing up way to fast....oh, and please excuse the mess.  What happens at Pixi's stays there.

My pretty girl.

Mom's new ride!  Dad traded in the Infiniti to get mom this 1974 Triumph.  It is SO fun to drive!!  I love driving a stick shift!  I'm pretty sure she's getting another car soon too....shhh....

Lilly and Big Boy.

Time for some mommy/lovey shots.  My mom's hydrangeas are gorg this year!!

Smores....I could eat my weight in smores.  No joke.

Bathing beauty.

Such a fun weekend!  I desperately needed some family time and I definitely got it.  Mom came back to TX with us on Monday to be with Lilly while I was at work and they had a blast as usual.  I came home from work today to find my entire flower bed covered in beautiful flowers!  What a Pix!
On another note.....not the note I want to leave this on, however, it's on my mind.  Lilly leaves tomorrow for almost three weeks to go to her dads.  I dread this day all year and have been fighting back tears all day.  I was and am so close to my mom, I can't imagine being four years old and spending that long of a time away from her.  Lilly is different though, she is definitely resilient, unlike me.  I tend to be full of emotion 24/7 and can usually cry at the drop of a hat.  That's just me I guess.  I certainly will miss her and am planning on staying extra busy during that time.  I'm sure it will go fast....hoping.  So I'm off to have some snuggle time with my baby love.  Hold yours tight tonight.

Me??

So the other day I get an email from the founder for that group I love, WTS.  Turns out they want me, moi, to be a panelist at an upcoming event......huh?  ME?  OK, i'll take it!  They seem to always have celebrities or Dallas VIPs, but ok!  Here's the catch.  The event is about relationships.  Oh my, do I know a thing or two about those!  Frankly, I can't imagine sitting up in front of a group of women speaking about this topic, but I guess now is the time to overcome my fears.  However, I'm super excited about this opportunity!

On another, much more important note, my little love bug read FOUR books last night by herself!  I am so unbelievably proud of her and just can't stop thinking about how fast she is growing up into such a smart, caring, and beautiful little girl.  She really is the best kid out there, so in love with this baby and so, so proud of her!  Were making a special little craft this weekend to document her books, she is pumped!

Ballet is wrapping up next week for Lilly.  Can't wait to frame her precious first pair of bitty ballet shoes!  Still haven't decided if I will keep her there next year or just have her go to the class they offer at her Montessori school.  They have one of the best schools come in and teach the girls, and I think she will love it just as much.  Lots of fun things happening soon....more to come!

Mother's Day

Yes, a little behind here!  I had a wonderful Mother's Day again this year, surrounded by my most favorite gals.  My mom came in for the weekend, which was great.  Friday we grilled out, David made his famous chicken wings.....mmmmmm!!
Ummm, hello adorableness.  Wow, she loves this man...
Lilly swaddle time, courtesy of good old Day-Bed!  I think he's just a tad bit crazy about this girl too...
Hahaha!!  Lilly burrito!
I had to work most of the day on Saturday so mom took Lilly to my friend Kelli's daughter's princess party then she took my sister and Lilly to the Dallas Museum of Art to spend the day.  I just love that my mom taught me the importance of the arts, and we are both now able to pass it along to Lilly.  Lilly LOVED it of course!  I guess they had a mummy exhibit, so Lilly had to stop at Barnes and Noble to find a mummy book on the way home.  How can you say no to that??  I was sad I missed it!  Friday was Muffins with Mom, which I always love.  Lilly loves when I come up to school and she made me this sweet table runner.
Handprints on anything always make this mommy happy!

Sunday we went to church and headed back home to cook breakfast for Pixi.  We ended up getting the call from Lauren about the proposal so off we all went to celebrate (and cry) with them.  Still can't wait for May 4, 2013 in Geary!!  They have the best style, it's going to be amazing.

Since I worked all day Saturday I decided I needed a little day off to spend with my babe.  I desperately needed my nails done, so we went there first, then Lilly decided that the Dallas Zoo was the place to be.  It was the perfect day!  Not crowded and the animals were all out.....they even had sweet little koala bears.  I want to hold one!
Hi there.
Put your paws up baby...
Lilly...."OH MOMMY....I would not want you to eat her piggies like you eat MINE!!!"  Love that.  She was genuinely concerned that maybe, just maybe I was considering it.  HA!
Love spending time with my baby.  This weekend we are going to my parents for Memorial Day.  The pool is open, the grill will be put to good use, and just having our family time with our number one princess will be wonderful.
