Lately

The only word that describes life lately is busy.  Geez.  So freaking busy, good busy, but still busy!

Work is going great....I have a lot of stuff going on and I manage to stay a little overly busy.  I started calling on physicians almost every day and it is so refreshing to talk to people who actually care about what you have to say.  When I was in IT, it wasn't the case.  The girls I work with are great, and I feel very blessed about the whole situation.  Not many women get to work so close to their babies schools, so I am very grateful for that.  Women that Soar is going great, so happy to be able to help with them and can't wait for our next event.  I think Lilly and I might be calendar models with our new puppy too for a animal charity, so that is exciting!
Lilly is doing fabulous, as usual!  We have been running around trying to find a new school and also interviewing nannies for the summer.  I have three schools I'm interested in, at two of them I'm on the wait list and the other is good too.  I really want her back in a Christian-based school, so I am hoping the Catholic school will have an opening.  If she gets in there she may stay there for elementary, so we shall see!  As far as the nanny goes, I just interviewed the cutest girl ever!  I really wanted someone who could give Lilly that one-on-one time that she deserves so I hoping for the best.
We have so much stuff coming up in April it is going to be insane!  Our sweet little Coco turns two on April 16, so we can't wait to go down to Houston and see all our family.  I miss all my Houston cousins so much, well all my cousins for that matter, so I think we are going to try to plan a little trip for all of us and the kiddos soon.  Can't wait for that!  On top of all that, Emma just surprised me with tickets to Aerosmith....YAY!  I think they play in July or something, but I have seen them once in Kansas and it was amazing, so round two should be just as good.  Also, the Mix family finds out if that baby love is a girl or boy!!
Anyways, there's been so much going on and frankly I think my brain is mush so if I'm rambling just skip to the pics.  There's a lot of new ones :)

So, here's a run down of all these photos.  We got Belle back from my parents.  With my new job it was just way too difficult to give her the attention she needed so she went on a little vacation to their house.  She's back, and wonderful!  Cute as can be!  I went to some events for prostate cancer , which was when the pics with Sarah were taken.  I spent St. Patty's day with my favorite ginger, Emma.  It is sort of tradition that I spend it with my sister.  Lilly got her FIRST dance recital costume, can NOT wait!! It is absolutely insane how much she looks like her momma in her pic up there.  Daddy made me his gumbo, yum, plus Pixi arranged for the Easter bunny to come a little early.  He will also be making an appearance at our house later next week.  Finally, we went to Disney on Ice......never again.  Lilly had fun, but I think she prefers the likes of Broadway over this sort of stuff, haha!

Totally random post, totally random pics.  Oh well!

Home at last!

Guess who is coming home today to her mommy......

THIS little turkey lurkey!!  I can not wait to have my baby home!  We have so much fun things planned in the upcoming weeks, so I can not wait to get started.  Come on 5 pm so I can go pick this little lovey up and snuggle for the rest of the day!  We may get some nasty weather here in the Big D, so a slumber party may be in order for this evening.

Kipling

This evening after work, Sarah and I went on a little date to Cutie Nails and to get some yummy dinner.  We were planning on going to the gym right after nails, but once you mention you're hungry to a pregnant woman, there is no chance.  We walked into the nail salon being our chatty selves and a woman getting a pedi says "Molly?"  I turn around and don't recognize her at first, then immediately it all comes back to me.  She was an old neighbor and was just the sweetest woman!  She has since moved close to Austin and out of the old neighborhood, but it was so nice to see her.  I actually used to go over and sit in her driveway and confide in her when I was going through my divorce, so it was so nice to update her on my life and Miss Lilly of course too.  We started talking about everything, the good, the bad, and Sarah was right there of course to join in.  She mentioned a poem that she loved and when I got home I looked it up.  Just wanted to share.....

If, by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream---and not make dreams your master;
If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!
I just love this!!  It is absolutely perfect on so many levels!  It's amazing how people in your life can come back and share things that you would have never known.  We said our goodbyes and I wished her luck, and that was it....but I'm so happy I ran into her!

Kevin?

Can not stop laughing!!!  Midgets riding on Roombas eating garbage.......hilarious!

Belly is popping!!

Look who has a baby bump!!  Can she look ANY more naturally gorgeous???  If every pregnant woman looked half as pretty as she does they would be so lucky.  I guess she's 14 weeks, so 4-6 more and we will know what is cooking inside.  She went to the same doctor I did for my first trimester screening.....the one who very confidently announced that I was having a boy.  Well he was clearly wrong, and he told Sarah they were having a boy too.  I still think GIRL!!  Whatever it is, I can not wait until September so I can hold this little one!  I guess she is due September 10 and Austin jokingly said that if the baby is born on September 11 they will name him "Freedom."  HAHA!!  Oh I love them.....

Happy birthday K-HEEEE!

Happy birthday to one of my all-time favorite people in the whole wide world...my oldest (and most wise)  cousin Karey!  If you are looking at the subject line then you will notice his name as K-HEEE, well that was how I said it as a baby and it stuck.  Thank goodness I learned how to pronounce my R's, haha!
The great thing about Karey is that he loves everyone!  Especially leprechauns! Oh and for getting free rooms in Vegas...major brownie points there!  Hehehe....
Thanks for loving Miss Lilly....
And for being the leader of the "cousin pack"...
And for teaching me how to turn off the parental controls as a kid....
For performing Wind Beneath my Wings at all family functions....
For introducing the circle thing....
And just being funny.
For being a great step daddy to Brayden, who is so precious!
But most of all thanks for being there for me whenever I needed you!  Thank you for answering your phone in the middle of the night and calling to make sure I was eating...sounds far fetched, but there was a time when I physically couldn't.  Thank you for screaming at me when I couldn't stop screaming myself and for forcing me to realize that I am better than anything that was going on. Thank you for holding my hand during all the tough decisions I needed to make over the years and being more like a big brother than a cousin.  Thank you for reminding me of who I was when I couldn't see it and for always being there, no matter what.  Thanks for having me up my cell phone plan because we talk so much!  Haha!!  Love you cousin!

Oh AND today is sooooo special because today, March 10, five years ago was the day I found out I had a little tiny lovey in my tummy.  Karey was actually the first one to know....which he reminds me of all the time!
Look at that little baby love just growing away in her mommy!
I looooooooved being pregnant with my Lilly Grace and March 10, 2007 was the day all the fun began!  So cheers to Karey and my Lilly girl!

And celebrate they did....

Well Emma turned 25 with a bang that is for sure!  She had her party at the Outer Marker....not my all time favorite these days.  I used to go there alllllll the time, but I don't think i've been back in years.  We had a ton of fun though, and she had a great turnout...I think 30 people were there or so.  Here's a photo summary of the shenanigans....
We started off at Emma's apartment where Nick re-discovered his love for fatty cats...Fat Mr. Sam, he is such a tank!
Cousin love.
Nick is still very much in love with this game! ha!
Crazy time.
Had to sing the usual of course....
Love my Nicky.
David surprised Emma and flew in her best friend from PA, so she was so happy to have so many great friends and family there!
Sister sing along.....only wish I had her pipes!
Lauren and I closing down the evening with Sweet Child of Mine, complete with leg guitar.  No karaoke party is complete without it!

Happy birthday Emma Margaret!

Dear sister, Emster....and all the other names I have called you throughout the years.
As you embark on your 25th year of life, here are some things I want to thank you for...
Love your big sister...
Thanks for being really super cute as a baby...
And for looking freakishly like LG....
For always loving my crazy outfits...
And loving that spot on Poppy that only his grandkids know...
Thanks for letting me absolutely silly around you, without a care in the world...
And making these fools look cooler in pics..
Thanks for having the funniest boyfriend ever, who Lilly worships, and who can also get us into any concert for $10 (major points for Day-Bed)....
Thanks for playing captain when everyone else was puking off the side, we would have been in Asia by now, hehe...
Thanks for doing cheer routines with me in Sarah's backyard, for making me do things like this that NO ONE my age should be attempting and to make me not be able to move for days.  Oh and you can still do back handsprings....how?
Thanks for sending me little funnies like this, and for loving the Cowboys.  Also for knowing that we basically got lucky this year and it will probably never happen again...
Thanks for being the best auntie around to Miss Lilly.  You've loved her since the day she was born.

Most of all thanks for being YOU!  You are a smart, educated, beautiful, determined and an all around amazing woman and I am so proud of you and your accomplishments.  When I was 25 I was about to pop with Lilly, and you are taking over corporations, kicking you know what and taking names!  You push me harder and make me determined to be a successful woman like you are and you also won't settle for anything but the best.  Can't wait to celebrate with you tonight!

Happy birthday!!

Oh and happy birthday to Flo, who has the same birthday as Em.
Love you and am so happy you are marrying a handsome Italian so we have an excuse to go to Italy!
