Hats, ears, Lilly loves them all!

So Lilly usually hates wearing her little beanies but lately she is stuck on this "uncle eddie" style hat.  She is just too funny!  She eats in it, naps in it, plays in it....it is crazy!  It was just a random hat we have and she must have it on at all times....

Until...she discovered the cat ears in her toy box!  Seriously????  How cute is she??  She is just precious running around with the ears on.

Yeah for Britney!!!

Yes folks, I have tickets!  I am so excited to be going to see my favorite comeback queen on 3/31 here in Dallas!  I am going with a couple of girlfriends and our seats are amazing.  For everyone who knows me well, you know that I am her biggest fan!  YEAH!

First busted lip

The day started off so well!  Lilly is suffering from a minor cold which is making her a little whiny but she was so good yesterday.  We went to Mi Cocina for lunch with Daddy, went shopping, did some Christmas decorating...then the falling started.  I don't know if she just got a little clumsy but she was walking around like a drunk person.  First she fell right off the sofa, which she never does because she loves getting down her way.  That resulted in a busted bottom lip, not too bad.  Then I was in the office and Clint was with her in the living room and I heard a SMACK!  Here comes the busted top lip, which is pretty bad looking.  I only have pics of the top one though.  Poor thing.  We were going to try to take our Christmas card today, not anymore!

How do you keep a toddler busy for four hours in the car.....this remains a mystery!

Clint and I had gone up to Stillwater for the Bedlam game (good turnout for Clint, bad for me) and we decided to head back to TX on Sunday.  By the time we got back to my parents house to pick up miss Lilly and head out she had just woken up from a two hour nap.  So we knew the drive was going to be quite eventful.  Usually she just sleeps and then wakes up about an hour before we got there.  Not the case this time!  The traffic was awful and Lilly was just about as impatient as they come.  She cried, screamed, chit chatted with herself, blew bubbles, played with Dottie, and mostly just screamed.  Here is she with the third lollipop I gave her....she threw all of them on the floor out of pure anger that she was in her carset.  Those should be fun to find tomorrow!
The bored look.....
Playing with her hat, then her toys, then Dottie, etc....all of this playing lasted about a minute each...
Screaming....
Hmmmm, what can she possibly do next to drive mommy and daddy insane.....she must be thinking really hard here.  At least she looks cute...look at those pouty lips!

Thanksgiving, what a year to be thankful!

Thanksgiving has come and gone and I can't help but be reminded of all of the blessings in my life that I am forever thankful for.  We went up to OK for the long weekend and had so much fun relaxing and visiting with family.  I just love going up there, I love the weather and seeing our family....I really wish we had a reason to move back.  Maybe someday.  Lilly looked so precious on Thanksgiving in her fall dress and tights, however, these are the best pics I got.  This child doesn't stay still and I am really stressing about how we are going to get a Christmas card taken of her!  She looked so sweet and really, really enjoyed the cranberries...I bet she ate almost half.  I just wanted to say how blessed I am for everyone in my life...
Lilly Grace.. I love you more than you could ever know.  You are the sunshine that wakes me up every morning and highlight of each second of each day.  I couldn't imagine my life without you and all of your little quirks that make you who you are.  I am thankful for your precious smile and demeanor, your fun outlook on life, and your intuitive way.  You are the sweetest gift I have ever been given and I can't wait to see how you enrich my life more than you already have.
Clint baby...You are my rock, my strength, my never ending support.  Thank you for loving me, taking care of me, and supporting me throughout the years.  You are the most amazing father and husband and always know that I will always love you and be thankful for having you in my life.  XOXO
I am also thankful for a healthy, happy family, fabulous friends, and a wonderful AMAZING family!

Trouble makers!

Lilly and Ryder man are just too cute together.  They have so much fun playing and talking and just having fun being kiddos.  We are so lucky to have Ryder and his family so close by now, we have too much fun.  Here is Ryder pushing Lilly on his car...there was one time when he actually hopped on with her.  It was too cute, I don't have the pic though of course (I am not the best at photography!)
And here comes trouble......Ryder is going right for the toilet with not a care in the world, while Lilly is a little more hesitant looking back at mommy for the OK.  Not OK baby girl!!  They are too funny!

Waiting, and waiting, and waiting....our daily game...

So Lilly has a daily routine of watching for Daddy.  Sometimes Daddy suprises her and comes home early but usually it is right around 4 or 5ish.  Around that time she marches over to the door and waits patiently while she looks out "her" window.  Sometimes she dances while she waits too!
After she waits long enough on her terms she heads into Daddy's office to see if he might be in his chair.  That's when Dottie takes over as watchman, or woman I suppose.
So he is not in his chair (surprise surprise right)....hmmm, back to the window...
Here she is heading back to watch some more.  Then when daddy finally pulls up she starts running around because she knows Daddy is going to chase her all over the house.  She hates the boots by the way....

Bad hair day!

Lilly and I went on our daily walk this morning and it was a little chilly so I put on the new adorable beanie that Pascale sent her.  She looked absolutely precious in it.....until we took it off.  Talk about a bad hair day!  I tried to comb this mess but nothing was working.  It looked like I had crimped her hair.  It was so hilarious!  Finally I just put her in the tub and soaked her in water and it went back to normal!!  She didn't seem to mind though, she just went about her business like a little sweetie!

Finally figured out the problem

Well as you all know Lilly has not been herself since before Halloween I guess.  After being in the ER and them telling me she was reacting to her MMR shot I thought things would get better.  I was completely wrong.  I finally gave in and called Dr. Stokes practically crying "please my baby won't stop screaming!!!!  HELP A POOR MOMMY OUT!!!"  She saw Lilly right away and she appeared ok.  Then she looked in her ears and the left one looked a little red but not red enough to cause this kind of behavior.  Dr. Stokes determined that she had an inner ear infection that was most likely bacterial.  So we started on antibiotics and things are not going so well.  She has only ever been on amoxicillin and did great with that, however, since this is what they think a bacterial infection they put her on omnicef or something.  I think the generic is cefdinir.  Since she started taking it on the 4th she has been miserable, worse than before!!!!  She has had very messy (you know what I mean) diapers non stop and because of that she has an awful diaper rash to where she can hardly walk!!!  All she wants to do is be held and it has to be a certain way so it doesn't hurt her poor little bottom.  This is awful!!!  I guess with parenting it's always something!  Please pray that our little one starts feeling better and is back to her old self.  She won't even eat anything but bananas and cheese!  Poor baby....

March of the penguin and of course Tigger!

These pics are actually all out of order so start at the bottom and work your way up....
For Halloween we went over to the Mix house and all had so much fun.  Lilly was a penguin and Ryder was Tigger.  We were so afraid that they were going to hate their costumes but they actually stayed in them a long time and we think they had  alot of fun.  These two are too cute together!
This was when the kiddos were winding down right before bedtime.  They crashed!

Ryder and mommy Sarah
She is such a girl!!!  She hates her hands being dirty in any way!
She also hatttttttes standing in the grass.  Such a girlie girl!
Mommy and Daddy penguin, sorta
Fat and happy!
Lilly was perfectly content the entire night in her wagon with a sucker.
Mr. Tigger
Look at those two cuties!  Their costumes both had the biggest bellies we could barely get he seat belts around them!
"Why am I dressed like this mom, huh, i'm confused...."
Ryder man decided he maybe didn't want to go outside and trick or treat and that he was perfectly content just chillin with his bottle.  So funny!

Second try at the pumpkin patch

So we took little miss fussy pants to another pumpkin patch yesterday in hopes of getting a few smiles out of her.  We all know she loves "pumpkies" and she was a little, just a little more excited yesterday than the last time.  Poor little one, her eyes have been constantly puffy from all the crying so she doesn't look quite like herself, but still so sweet.  I had Halloween fabric to make her a cute dress but the way this week went I had no time.  She still looks so cute in her little fall corduroy dress though!
Our little walker!
My precious family, I love them so!
This is Lilly doing her monkey impression that Granny and Grandpap taught her.  She will do it anywhere anytime, even while sitting on a bunch of pumpkins.
I think this one is the one mom!

Little sleeping beauty

The past couple of nights I have gone to check on Lilly to make sure she isn't feverish and this is how she has been sleeping.  The first night I saw her like this I moved her leg back down and before I had even left the room it was back up there again.  So she must be comfy!  I love her little chunky legs in her jammies, she has the greatest baby legs ever!  She are so soft and chunky, I just want to eat them (and her fat little piggies too!)  Sweet dreams baby love!

Of course when Daddy is away....

Before I start this entry lets do a checklist of things that would be awful if they happened while you were home with a 1 year old for a week by yourself....
1.  Your precious baby feeling the horrible effects of her MMR shot last week....(that would be sad and awful).
2.  Your precious baby deciding that now, when Daddy is away, she is going to start cutting maybe all her molars....(it's getting worse).
3.  Your precious baby screaming, crying, throwing tantrums like never before, and then screaming more and more....(I would be praying for Mommy's sanity at this point.)
4.  Your precious baby being rushed to the ER because she wakes up from a nap with a 104.4 temp....(oh man, this would be bad!!)

Alright folks, you guessed it....ALL of these awful things that could possibly happen when Daddy is away all week, they have for me!!!   Today is Wednesday, tomorrow Clint will be home (thank GOD), is three days enough time to go insane?  I never thought so, but yes, I think it could be.  Nothing is working for this child, and I mean nothing.  She is waking up screaming and screaming until she falls asleep at bedtime.  I decided today to take her to the pumpkin patch because these days she is a pumpkin fanatic.  She literally can't get enough of them!!  Here is just a glimpse of the joy on her face, or lack there of, at what should have been the best day ever for her!
Normally she would have been screaming in joy when she saw the pumpkin...
Poor little baby...
So what is a mother to do?  Friday is Halloween and we have plans with her boyfriend Ryder and hopefully she will be back to her old happy self.  Until then, I will just pray it gets better and drink lots of wine...in fact i'm going to head that route right now!

I love my wagon!!

For her first birthday, Lilly's Granny and Grandpap gave her a really fun wagon, which Lilly just loves!!!  Here are a couple of pics of her (please ignore the outfit....it was really cold and I just grabbed a sweater and hat in a hurry to go outside!) enjoying her fun new ride!
