So little Miss is currently totally, 100% obsessed with Dora. She wakes up wanting her Dora yogurt, grabs her Dora purse, must have a Dora band aid at all times, and must watch at least two Dora episodes a day. I mean, this girl loooooooooooves "DOOOWWWWAAAA!" It's too cute though, thank God we are out of the Elmo phase. His voice just made me cringe and I personally think Dora is a little more entertaining than Elmo and Mr. Noodle. She still loves him though. Here are some recent pics of Lilly in some Dora moments.
So now that little Lilly is almost 21 months, WOW, I thought I should do some updates on her daily life and some new "Lillyisms."
-Lilly has become a much better eater. Before she wouldn't eat any meats and only green beans but now I just shove it in her mouth and she always says "mmmm!" I also have to do a little bribing sometimes too, which I think is ok. "Eat your carrots, then you can have your Dora spaghetti o's!" Lilly then will eat them all. Right now she is into.....carrots, peas, chicken fingers, a certain turkey we can only get at Kroger (ya, I know), mini muffins, peanut butter, dipping anything in anything, yogurt, popsicles, dibs, cheese its, bananas (abbas), lima beans, bbq, spaghetti (getti), and especially cookies. This girl is a cookie machine. I don't have a huge stash of cookies in the house, usually just some sugar free wafers or animal crackers, but she knows where they are and will throw the biggest fit for one!!! I can't even go to the store anymore without getting her one from the bakery, which she scarfs down so quick!
-Usually Lilly wakes up around 9 to 9:30, but recently she has been waking up right at 7:30 or 8 and playing until 8:15ish. This really bothers me. I felt totally lucky that she was sleeping in so late for all these months and bam, gone. She is still working on those two year molars so hopefully when those come in she will go back to norm, and will stop being a little fuss allllll day. That's another post.....
-Her vocab is so huge! She really blows my mind. She can usually repeat what I tell her and sounds pretty good at it. We are still working on the foam letters and that is going great. Her latest is A-apple, N-Nick, B-baby. We also made her some flash cards and she can read probably about 15 of them. I know she isnt actually reading yet, but she is memorizing, which is great! She loves music and can count to three.
-Lilly loves to be outside whenever she can. It is so hot lately that I want to die but she doesn't seem to care. She loves her sandbox and the pool and pushing her stroller in the driveway. She also loves to dance and sing and help mommy clean. Right now she is obsessed with our bed and wants to be in it constantly, maybe it's time for her big girl room. She still loves her bath and can wash herself now. We are still working on the paddy situation. She used to only have it at nap, bedtime, and car but since she has been teething she always wants it. Little sweetie. I am going to start cutting them down when she turns two. Should be fun......
-Well she's up and yelling MOMMMMMYYYYY, so I will have to post our July 4th pics later!
