Lilly went up for her nap around 1:30 seeming pretty sleepy and it was kind of warm up in her room so I took her clothes off and put her down in just her diaper.....mistake 1.
I did not turn her monitor on and if I had I probably would have heard what was going on before we hit disaster....mistake 2.
At about 2:30 I start to hear some crazy screaming coming from upstairs so I run up there thinking something terrible had happened. As i'm walking to her door I hear "mommyyyyyy, poooooo POOOOO, night niiiiiiight!!!!" You can pretty much guess what happened from there.
Yep, folks, my daughter decided today was the day to remove her diaper prior to going twozies and go in her bed. Not only did she do that, she smeared it on the crib spindles, on the wall, in her hair, basically everywhere. However, there was none on her nice bumpers almost like she knew that would send mommy over the edge.
I knew something like this was coming because she has been taking her diaper off a lot, but still refuses to go in the potty. My mom has been warning me about this day with toddlers that apparently a lot of moms have to witness. It was fun, realllllly fun. Just had to share!
