I found this recipe on a friend's facebook and tried it last night....soooooo good! I don't eat pasta, it upsets my stomach and frankly I just don't need a bowl of carbs (much to my dismay). I crave it though and this was the perfect replacement. I made my homemade spaghetti sauce, with ground turkey this time, and poured it over the squash. You really couldn't tell a difference at all and I didn't feel terrible afterwards. The squash was a little bit crunchier than a normal pasta, but still just as tasty and minus all the carbs. TRY IT!!! Oh and plan on about two squash per person.

I am also sooooo addicted to a few things right now that you should add to your healthy eating plan....
1. KIND bars. You can get these at Market Street and Sprouts, probably Whole Foods too. So yummy, super healthy, and very filling. My friend who does my facials gave me one and yummy yummy yummy, try them!
2. Mary's Herb Crackers. These are gluten free and soooo yummy dipped in hummus or sometimes I do a chive cream cheese or a Laughing Cow wedge.
3. Peanut Butter and Co. White Chocolate Peanut Butter. Now selling at Target, yay!!! It is pretty much the yummiest thing in the history of food. If you get one thing on this list, it should be this.
4. Progresso Hearty Tomato Soup. I could eat this every single day with a little mozzerella on top and tabasco.
5. I'm also obsessed with those sandwich flats! They are perfect for burgers too!
6. Vitamuffin tops. UMMMM, DELISH!!! I love the blue bran ones. You can find them in the frozen section, and they are pricey, like $6 for a box. Totally worth it though and only 100 calories. They have cornbread ones too, which would be good with a soup or stew :)
I would have put pics of everything, but I am not in the mood to do all of that. But seriously, try the pasta/squash recipe with your favorite sauce and you will be a happy person without feeling terrible for eating a pound of carbs.
