After recovering from that weekend, Clint and I then headed up to Grove, OK to meet Sarah and Austin and their fam for a fun filled weekend. We had a blast! The weather turned out to be pretty good and we cruised on the boat, drank a lot, ate alot, and I even tubed. I know....I won't even walk in the grass barefoot, but believe it or not I did pretty good! I am still feeling the pain though! Here's some pics from Memorial day....
After that much needed little vacay we picked up Lilly at Pixi's house and headed back to Dallas where I need to do some serious detoxing/dieting. So fun though! In other news, our family cat, Beau, has ran away we think. He is declawed and didn't have a collar on and would go out on the porch with us and not go far. He has been missing for almost two weeks now, very sad.
In Lilly news she has had her own little issues. She broke out in a little rash on her back, which I thought was a heat rash, well its allergies AGAIN!!! This poor baby!! Neither Clint nor I have allergies and she is just a mess. The doc thinks that she may just have minor allergies but this season has been so hard on everyone that she is just handling it differently. Her little eyes are puffy and now i'm pumping her with benadryl so she is sleepy and fussy. We also had to temporarily change our detergent, fabric softener, and soap. Hopefully this will clear up soon......
I feel like this little angel face is growing up way too fast! It seems like every day she is doing something and saying something new. She copies everything and wants to be just like her mommy, which melts my heart. She loves jewelry, makeup, shoes, bows....all the girly little things! She is also very into dancing and has a ton of moves, I can't wait to get her into dance classes when she is two.
Lilly girl is also so smart.....it seriously boggles my mind how smart this kiddo is. She knows colors, blue being her fav. She can count to three. She is starting to put words together to make short sentences and is so good with her please and thank you. Her biggest thing that blows my mind at the moment is what she does with her foam bathtub letters. You can pour them all into the tub and ask her where is grandpa, she finds the G, where is Ryder, she finds the R, where is kitty, she finds the K, where is Emma, she finds the E.....she does this with like 10 letters! Tonight I showed her the L and I said "L for Lilly" and a few minutes later she picked it up and said "MEEEE!" I will have to put a video up of it, it's amazing! She is precious to me and Clint, even through all the tantrums (we are getting close to the terrible twos) but everyday is so much fun to see the world through her eyes.
