Little Lovie is home!! We celebrated with family and friends on Friday night and she was sooooo excited to be back in her house with all the people she loves. Her lover man even brought her some pretty flowers, so precious.
The kids played on the slip and slide while the grown ups enjoyed the patio, cool refreshments, and this....
I made my dad's secret recipe homemade gumbo. To. die. for. I couldn't find any oysters, which ticked me off, but every one devoured it and it was more than delish. My dad's recipe rivals anything from New Orleans I guarantee.
It's all about the roux baby, the blacker the better. Yes, it stinks up your house burning that flour, and yes, it does look unappetizing at this point, but the end result is amazing.
The kiddos had normal kiddo food, plus I splurged and bought them these 150% sugar cupcakes. I normally don't buy this stuff because I'm sure she gets more than enough sugar when she's not with me, but tonight was special.
Then we did our traditional sleep with mommy when she gets home. Such a bed hog, but such a little snuggler.
Funny!
Sweet sleeping baby, nothing is cuter.
We also got to play with one of our besties, Miss Maggs. Look how presh these girls are!
Sunday we had some pool time with her favorite aunt and uncle, Ick and NoNo. She did great "swimming" and we were all so proud!
So glad she's home :) I can breathe.
